A Congress leader named Shama Mohamed has captured the internet’s attention over her sharp and brutal criticism of the Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma.
Posting her mind on X, the politician questioned Rohit’s cricketing abilities, while delivering a low blow regarding his weight as she called him outright ‘fat’ and unfit for the sport.

Her exact words were, “@ImRo45 is fat for a sportsman! Needs to lose weight! And of course, the most unimpressive captain India has ever had!”
Journalist Rajdeep Sardesai quickly defended the Indian skipper, commenting, “Rohit Sharma has been a wonderful captain for Team India, leading from the front and playing a fearless brand of cricket. (On weight, judge a player by the runs he scores, not his kilos, please.)”

While Shama attempted to make a comeback by pointing out India’s defeat in the 2023 ODI World Cup Final as well as the team’s poor performance in the BGT, she quickly deleted her post, seeing the spiking public anger.
While many have criticised Rohit Sharma for his fitness in the past, he has proved time and again that he possesses the ability to put runs on the board, helping his team get a solid head start.
