Just before the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians match on April 23, players stood for a one-minute silence to honor the 26 Indians killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. But the MI captain, Pandya was seen smiling and chatting with a teammate during the solemn tribute.

The clip from the match has gone viral and fans are fuming, calling his behavior “shameful.” One user wrote, “You can be a good cricketer but not a good or responsible citizen of India.” Another said, “He is like this only senseless and shameless most selfish person.”
While the MI captain offered condolences during the toss of the match, this action was unforgivable for netizens. And this is not the first time his attitude has raised eyebrows either.

There is no question about Pandya’s skill on the field. His cricket stats are solid and he played a key role in India’s 2024 T20 World Cup win. Yet, his off-field conduct keeps dragging him into controversy.
