At one of these events, actress Aishwarya Lekshmi made a statement that has now gone viral. She revealed that when she signed on for Maaman, several people in the industry asked her if she was okay with acting alongside Soori, given that he is still an emerging actor in Kollywood.
She added that she still doesn’t understand why such questions were asked and emphasized that working with Soori was a great honor for her. Aishwarya further stated that Soori stands tall with his values and qualities, comparable to any superstar.

Some Kollywood fans felt that, despite trying to appreciate Soori, Aishwarya Lekshmi might have inadvertently insulted him and suggested she show more maturity in public appearances.
Meanwhile, Soori’s speech at the same event is also trending on social media. He shared a heartfelt anecdote about his early life, mentioning that he once worked as a daily wage laborer in Tiruppur, earning just 20 rupees a day.
Out of his weekly 140-rupee income, he would keep 70 rupees for his expenses and send the remaining 70 to his family. He reflected on how that humble beginning shaped his journey.
Soori’s inspiring rise—from a laborer to a respected actor in Kollywood—has struck a chord with audiences. Many fans believe that with his dedication and sincerity, Soori is destined to become a major force in the industry in the coming years.
