Today, popular producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu, who produced Vijay’s Sachein in 2005, announced that the film is set to be re-released this summer to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Now, there is strong speculation that Kalaipuli S. Thanu is planning to release the film on April 10, taking advantage of the long weekend. If Sachein releases on that date, Tamil cinema audiences will witness a Vijay vs. Ajith box office clash one last time, according to netizens on social media.
However, Sachein still has a huge fan following, and many people continue to appreciate Vijay’s performance in the film.

Last year, Vijay’s Ghilli was re-released in Tamil Nadu and became a massive blockbuster, with fans celebrating the film in theaters, earning around ₹40 crore.
