Dhanush and Vetrimaaran’s Vadachennai, released in 2018, was a blockbuster success and continues to be highly popular among Kollywood audiences.
Vadachennai ended with a lead for the sequel, and till now, Kollywood fans have consistently requested Vetrimaaran and Dhanush to start the sequel whenever they’ve seen them at public events.

Now, there is a strong buzz that Dhanush and Vetrimaaran are planning to start shooting Vadachennai 2 next year, once Dhanush completes his commitments and Vetrimaaran finishes Vadivaasal.
Vadachennai 2 is reportedly going to be produced by Vels Film International, and Manikandan, who is known for his acting performances in Good Night and Kudumbasthan, is in talks to play a crucial role in this sequel.

Following this buzz, Dhanush fans on social media started celebrating and commented that it’s finally happening, and if Vadachennai 2 releases, it could set a new benchmark in terms of box office collections in the actor’s career.
However, there haven’t been any official updates yet, and we have to wait and see whether Vadachennai 2 takes off in the future.
