Director Ashwath Marimuthu, who is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated film Dragon, starring Pradeep Ranganathan, has sparked a buzz with new revelations about his upcoming project with Silambarasan TR (STR). His statements have now gone viral on social media.
Ashwath made his Kollywood debut with the fantasy entertainer Oh My Kadavule in 2020, which turned out to be a blockbuster. Dragon marks his second directorial venture and is all set for a theatrical release on February 21. With just days left for the release, the team is actively promoting the film through interviews on popular YouTube channels.

In a recent interaction, Ashwath shared an intriguing detail about STR’s role in STR 51. He revealed that the actor will be playing the “God of Love” but clarified that the film is not a romantic drama. Instead, it is designed to cater primarily to STR’s fans while also appealing to a wider audience.
Currently, STR is busy filming STR 49, directed by Parking fame Ramkumar Balakrishnan. Post this, he will simultaneously work on two major projects—STR 50, directed by Desingh Periyasamy, and STR 51 with Ashwath Marimuthu.
