Karthik Subbaraj

Suriya’s most anticipated retro film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, is all set to hit the screens on May 1st. With only a few days left for the release, the Retro team is currently promoting the movie in full swing.

Recently, Karthik Subbaraj, in one of the interviews, revealed that he had narrated many scripts to actor Vijay, but somehow they didn’t connect with him, adding that he is not a good narrator either.

He also mentioned that he narrated a script to Vijay for his last film, but that didn’t work out. Then, Karthik Subbaraj created a new script and met Vijay; however, Vijay had already committed his dates to H. Vinoth.

Following this, some Vijay fans on social media commented that it would be a memorable farewell for Vijay if Karthik Subbaraj directed his last movie, and this didn’t happen only because Karthik Subbaraj is not a good narrator.

Some Kollywood audiences feel that despite being a star director, Karthik Subbaraj should learn to narrate a project; otherwise, he may miss many potentially big projects.

Nevertheless, Retro has huge hype among the audience, and it remains to be seen whether Retro satisfies their expectations, emerges as a blockbuster success, and helps Suriya make a solid comeback in his acting career.
