A new trend was started in Kollywood a few years ago where Kollywood actors worked with Tollywood directors for bilingual movies such as Vijay’s Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, and Dhanush’s Vaathi/Sir, directed by Venky Atluri.
After these collaborations, even star Kollywood directors were moved to Tollywood, such as Venkat Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya, were worked together on the movie Custody, and now Shankar is directing Ram Charan, which is Game Changer.

After Game Changer, as per speculations, two top Kollywood directors are also planning to collaborate with top stars of Tollywood. As per reports, Lokesh Kanagaraj is planning to direct a movie with Prabhas, and Nelson Dilipkumar is planning to direct a movie with NTR.
It looks like the reason behind this is that, as per inside reports, Tollywood is offering more remuneration costs for the directors due to their North India market.

For this, Tamil audiences were responding that, after acclaimed certain fame from the Kollywood industry, top directors were moving to other industries just to acclaim pan-Indian fame and for the money.
Even though the audiences were feeling this, it looks like there isn’t any separation among the industries, and the different industries working as a whole are pushing limits to an extent to bring out some unique creations.
