Director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) has become a nationwide sensation. It’s already known that he will continue working within this universe for the next five years.

While he may direct other films featuring different actors during this time, he has clearly stated that such projects will remain separate from the LCU.

This distinction gained attention with his upcoming film Coolie, starring Superstar Rajinikanth. Fans speculated whether Coolie was part of the LCU, but Lokesh officially confirmed that it is a standalone film and not connected to the universe.

Interestingly, Lokesh is expanding his creative footprint. Apart from directing, he has begun developing stories and producing films for others to direct.

One such project currently in production is Benz, starring Raghava Lawrence and Nivin Pauly, and directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan. Lokesh is backing the film as a producer, and the first schedule of shooting has already been completed.

Now, social media is abuzz with speculation that Coolie and Benz might be part of a new cinematic universe Lokesh is secretly building. Leaks suggest that Benz could be related to Coolie in terms of story or characters.

Adding to the intrigue, Coolie is expected to release first on August 14, followed by Benz just two to three months later.

That said, Benz is actually part of the LCU. On the other hand, Coolie has the potential to launch an entirely new cinematic universe. The film features a range of prominent stars including Nagarjuna, Upendra, and Aamir Khan.

In fact, Lokesh has already decided to collaborate with Aamir Khan on his next superhero film. Whether it will continue the Coolie universe storyline or not remains unconfirmed.

Aamir’s role in Coolie is said to span around eight minutes, possibly setting the stage for future developments.
