Gautham Vasudev Menon’s (GVM) long-pending project, Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Vikram, which has faced multiple postponements, is finally going to be released soon as strong speculation suggests that the makers are planning to release it in August.
Dhruva Natchathiram is probably the most postponed film in Indian cinema, and many people are not even believing the recent release date buzz, Some netizens are even trolling it, stating that whenever the team plans to release this movie, it will again run into trouble and the release date will be postponed.

However, GVM recently revealed in an interview that he will only do his next work after the release of Dhruva Natchathiram, and he hasn’t signed any movies for acting either.
He showed the film to some investors who said it was good, and he is sorting out the legal issues, assuring a release in July or August for sure. This has now gone viral.

Following this, some netizens are offering free advice to GVM to release the movie directly on OTT so that he won’t have as much trouble.
At the same time, some people are trolling GVM to release it on YouTube, suggesting it’s the only option. However, he can’t even do that as the film is in court and stuck in legal issues related to finance.

I’m response, some trade experts responded that, sadly, OTT platforms are not even buying current active films; in this case, how will they purchase an old movie that has been postponed for almost eight years? Hence, GVM should sort out its issues and release it in theaters, as it’s the only visible solution.
Ultimately, it remains to be seen whether the legal issues of Dhruva Natchathiram get sorted and the movie will be released in July or August as promised by GVM, or whether it will be postponed again.
