Suriya Accepts His Worst Decision

Suriya’s most anticipated pan-Indian movie, Kanguva, is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on November 14th. As still only a few days were left before the release, the Kanguva team was promoting the movie by conducting events and giving interviews on the YouTube channels.

Kanguva was directed by Siruthai Siva, who is known for his previous movies such as Viswasam and Veeram. Devi Sri Prasad composed the musical album of this movie, and KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green Productions produced this movie.

In this scenario, as a part of a promotion, Suriya had given an interview to a popular YouTube channel in which the anchor of the show asked about Suriya’s past direct OTT releases, for which Suriya’s reply was trending viral now.

For the question, Suriya has opened up that, during the Jai Bhim OTT release on November 21st, 2021, Rajinikanth’s Annathe movie was released in theatres, and at that time an old man was waiting in a theatre to get the tickets for Jai Bhim, Suriya has said that Jai Bhim was released in OTT to the old man.

Also, he mentioned that he doesn’t know about OTT, and that made him realize that he had made the worst decision by releasing the Jai Bhim movie in direct OTT, as it doesn’t reach to the ground-level Audience.




Despite the OTT release, Jai Bhim was critically acclaimed by the worldwide audience, and also the movie got selected for an Oscar entry from India in the year 2022, however, it couldn’t make it up to the final selection for Oscars.
