Vetrimaaran, after Viduthalai 2, has started the pre-production work for his most anticipated movie, Vadivaasal, starring Suriya.
Recently, the producer of this movie, Kalaipuli S. Thanu, in an interview, revealed that the shooting of Vadivaasal is scheduled to begin in June and will be released in 2026.

He also mentioned that Vetrimaaran will complete the shooting of Vadivaasal at a fast pace, similar to how he completed Asuran.
Following this, social media users started to respond that after Viduthalai 2, many critics and audiences criticized Vetrimaaran for taking too much time to shoot the movie; it now seems he has changed his approach for Vadivaasal.

At the same time, some Suriya fans were not happy with the Vadivaasal update, as many commented on social media that Vetrimaaran is no longer in form, with Viduthalai 2 being the best example of this. After Kanguva’s terrible disaster, Suriya should only act in promising, sure-shot movies; otherwise, he may find it difficult to reclaim his throne.
However, it looks like Vadivaasal is going to be one of Vetrimaaran’s fastest films; it remains to be seen whether Vadivaasal satisfies audience expectations and emerges as a blockbuster success.
