Dulquer Salman’s Lucky Baskhar movie directed by Venky Atluri, who was recognized for his last movie, Sir/Vaathi. Lucky Baskhar was released in theatres on October 31st as a Diwali special.

This movie acquired only limited screens in Tamil Nadu on its first weekend, as three Kollywood movies such as Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran, Kavin’s Bloody Beggar, and Jayam Ravi’s Brother were released on the same day.

To increase the audience pull, the Lucky Baskhar team screened paid premieres across South India, and in Tamil Nadu, the Tamil version of the Lucky Baskhar movie has acquired tremendous responses.

The positive sign from the paid premieres had brought huge audiences to theatres, and according to reports, many theatres in Tamil Nadu have more than 90% occupancy for the Tamil version of the Lucky Baskhar movie.

In this scenario, as per Trade sources, Lucky Baskhar movie has done breakeven in Tamilnadu on its first-weekend theatrical run itself and is also said to be the first area of breakeven for Lucky Baskhar movie.




After tremendous positive word of mouth from the audiences, now after the first weekend, the movie has acquired additional screens in Tamil Nadu. It looks like Lucky Baskhar will have a huge profit for distributors after the final theatrical run, say the trade experts.
