Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan was finally released in theatres yesterday and acquired mixed responses from the audiences and critics. Many of the audiences who have watched the Vettaiyan were sharing that this movie is not apt for festival release.
Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel, is a content-oriented serious movie with a blend of Rajinikanth’s mass moments. Even though it has lots of bigger stars in it, this is a serious movie and not an entertaining movie for the audiences for this festival.

Initially, Suriya’s Kanguva was planned to be released on October 10th, but to avoid the clash with Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, Kanguva was postponed to November 14th.
Many audiences after watching Vettaiyan felt that Kanguva should be released on October 10th as it is a history-oriented action film and will be perfect for a festival release.

Family audiences love to watch entertaining movies during the festival holidays and will not like to watch serious movies with content based on rape and encounters in the festival.
If Kanguva releases on October 10th with Vettaiyan, even though it loses some single screens, word of mouth will boost up the collection of this movie after the first weekend, say the audiences and critics.
