De-aging is a VFX technique used to bring the younger looks for the actor or actress. Following Vijay’s The GOAT some Kollywood movies were using this technique to bring up the younger looks of the actors in the upcoming movies.

Previously, Lokesh Kanagaraj tried to pull off the younger look of Kamal Haasan for the movie Vikram, but due to time constraints, the team wasn’t able to pull it off. Lokesh Kanagaraj mentioned in an interview that the De-aging work is still happening, and once it’s completed, the De-aging scenes will be available for the audiences in OTTs, but then there aren’t any updates about this. Now following Vijay’s GOAT, some Kollywood movies such as Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3, Lokesh Kanagaraj plans to bring the De-aging looks of Kamal Haasan in Vikram Part 2, and there were also talks that Vetri Maaran tries to pull off Vijay Sethupathi’s younger looks in Viduthalai Part 2.
