Indian users have embraced Threads with enthusiasm, creating over 50 million topic tags to date. Popular tags include film, TV, OTT content, celebrity discussions, and sports, reflecting the diverse interests of Indian users. Specific topics like #GunturKaaram, #Kalki2898AD, #HouseofDragon, and #KotaFactoryS3 have generated significant buzz, showcasing the platform’s relevance to current pop culture trends.

Cricket remains a dominant subject on Threads, with the T20 Cricket World Cup, Indian Premier League, and Women’s Premier League 2024 among the most discussed events. This sports-centric engagement highlights the platform’s ability to capture the excitement and passion of Indian cricket fans.

Unique to the Indian Threads community is a higher propensity to mention other users in posts and a preference for video content over the global average.
