
In the past few weeks, the US has cancelled or revoked visas of more than 1000 international students, ringing alarm bells among the students and their parents.
But not all are taking it quietly. Some students have approached courts against Trump administration. They are fighting that the Trump administration is not dealing fairly when it comes to visa cancellations.

As the Trump administration is revoking and canceling visas arbitrarily, the students stand the risk of arrest or deportation. Harvard, Stanford, University of Maryland, Ohio State University and a few smaller colleges are facing similar problems.
According to Associated Press, about 1024 students’ visas have been cancelled in 160 colleges, just from end of March. At the same time, the students who have gone to court against the Department of Homeland Security are questioning the reason behind such a move.

Though many reasons are being given, the colleges have found that speeding tickets are a major factor in many cases. The exact reasons are beyond comprehension, say the students. Despite the student protests, there is no comment from the Department of Homeland Security.
Meanwhile, some students whose visas have been cancelled are returning back without completing their studies, as they can be arrested. The academicians are worried that students can lose interest in studying in the US due to such moves.

They say the students are scared as there is no clarity on the reason as to why the visas are being cancelled.
While some universities say they are holding talks with the Federal government, other colleges are giving guidance about returning back.
