Canada has been a haven for Indian students with its welcoming approach to immigrants. However, with the increasing diplomatic tensions between India and Canada, you can expect the North American country to put some strict curbs on immigration soon.
While it will be a huge disappointment for aspiring students who want to study abroad, Canada will not have a smooth time either. Indians comprise a major portion of international students in the country with over 320,000 enrolling in 2022 alone.

But the truth is that Canadian universities depend heavily on international fees, which are typically three times higher than the domestic fees. And Indian students contribute to housing, food, retail, and transport, beyond just tuition.
Immigrant students have added a staggering CDN$30 billion to the GDP, with the majority of those coming from India. Thus, it will be a massive oversight if Canada keeps up with its strict outlook on immigration.
