At a time when there is growing anger against the Indian community on H-1B visas in the U.S., a social media post has surfaced about an alleged Indian scam. The post claims that an Indian manager hired his wife as a contractor and later moved her to a different team, sparking a debate online.

According to the story, the Indian manager, who is on an H-1B visa and on full-time payroll with the same client, hired his wife as a contractor. To avoid a conflict of interest, he later transferred her to another team. Ironically, the manager of that team is also Indian, though not on an H-1B visa.

The person who shared this on social media asked how to report this malpractice, arguing that such actions hurt genuine, hardworking contractors. The post also highlights how some Indian managers take backdoor commissions from the hourly rates of contractors they hire, using their influence to act as middlemen in client projects.

As the post gained traction, it sparked widespread debate and anger, especially with Trump back in office and H-1B visa applicants under increased scrutiny. The controversy has cast Indians in a negative light. Though the original poster deleted their social media post, screenshots continue to circulate.
