The US isn’t the only nation that is facing an epidemic of illegal immigration as India has faced the same issues from its neighbouring countries. With Trump’s crackdown against Indians, a group of individuals are surprisingly turning these restrictions to their advantage.
According to media reports, one Bangladeshi migrant revealed his master plan to enter India: sneak into the US, get caught, claim to be Indian, and hope US authorities send them to India instead of Bangladesh. And once inside, just blend with the locals.

Reports even suggest that Pakistanis are jumping on the bandwagon and planning their route to India via the US as well.
They have turned America’s racism into a benefit for them. The migrants claim the US forces don’t see any difference in the people belonging to the subcontinent and treat them the same way.

However, the question is will this trick work? Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has said India won’t tolerate illegal migration linked to human trafficking and crime.
This desperate strategy exposes how strict US immigration policies are creating absurd loopholes and more burdens for India. The government has to not only facilitate the return of Indian migrants but also curb illegal immigration in our own country.
