NRI Graduate's Horrific Warning to F-1 Aspirants!

A harrowing warning from an Indian student in the US has come as a wake-up call for thousands of aspirants who are still thinking of going all in on the American Dream.

“Avoid coming to USA for grad school,” the US graduate warned his peers back home in a social media post. Further detailing his experience, he said he came to America in the early 2010s when tech was booming, jobs were plenty, and OPT/H1B wasn’t a nightmare to get approved.

However, that utopia is long dead. Now, even top university graduates are struggling to find jobs as Big Tech has pulled the brakes on visa sponsorships.

Startups are shutting down. Visas are getting harder. Moreover, if you’re moving from India you are nearly spending or taking a loan of ₹70 lakh for higher education in the US, which is not worth it.

Graduates can’t even rely on OPT, the one thing that used to attract thousands of Indian students. One policy change, and you’re stuck with a degree, no job, no visa, and massive debt.

The Indian student heavily advises against taking loans or mortgaging your parents’ property in the hope of having a better life in America. If you can afford ₹80–₹100 lakh without blinking, take the risk. Otherwise, don’t do it.
