Racism against Indians in the US is reaching unprecedented heights. Now an engineer who openly boasted about his hate against the Indian community has been rehired in a key role without offering any apology.

JD Vance, the US Vice President married to an Indian-origin wife, defended the 25-year-old engineer, adding more fuel to the fire. This led to various members of the community condemning the VP and demanding an apology from Elez.
Many Indian-Americans also feel betrayed by the Republican party which they helped bring back in power. Venture capitalist Vasant Bhatt slammed far-right radicals saying, “We don’t owe loyalty to a party that tolerates racists who despise us.”

This hate is not limited to online platforms, as a San Francisco-based investor shared how an Indian man was harassed at Starbucks. “This is what happens when hate is normalized,” he warned.
