
Like Donald Trugmp in the US, the Labour government in UK is cracking down on illegal immigrants. Described as ‘UK-wide blitz’, raids have been carried out on restaurants, nail bars, car washes and convenience stores that hire migrant workers.
The Home Office cracked down on 828 premises, a 48% rise since last January. Similarly, 609 arrests have been made which is a 73% jump from last year.

While the intelligence oversees all sectors, last month’s activity mainly centered around restaurants, cafes, takeaways and food, drink and tobacco industry. In fact, a visit to one restaurant in Humberside led to seven arrests and 4 detentions.
British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper feels that immigration rules must be followed and respected. She felt not following them led to exploitation of illegal immigrants and many people entering UK through ‘small boats’.

With a surge in Reform UK demand, the Labour government is cracking down on illegal immigrants and offenders. The UK is adopting the same show-not-tell strategy as Trump to send back those working illegally in the country.
The Labour government has also released a video showing deportation of migrants for the first time. UK is also preparing to launch an international campaign to show stories of those who were sent back ending up with debts and exploitation by people’s smugglers.

Like the US, there is a huge demand to enter UK through illegal means and looks like the present Kier Starmer government is pretty serious about stopping illegal entry into its borders.
