H-1B Faces 5000 Rejections

The American Dream seems long dead and H-1B aspirants are witnessing its procession. Another Indian techie in the US recently shared how he has submitted nearly 5,000 applications but there’s still no sponsorship.

An Indian F-1 visa holder applied through LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, everywhere, only to face silence and instant rejections. All after he answered “Yes” to wanting an H-1B petition from the company.

He has a master’s degree and two years of experience. But none of that matters anymore as US tech firms don’t want the ‘headache’ of sponsoring H-1B candidates.

And this isn’t one guy’s story, many Indian students on OPT are facing the same struggle. The job market’s a mess, full-time roles are drying up, and even contract gigs come with strings.

Some are trying tricks by delaying the sponsorship talk, hoping companies love their first impression. But it rarely works. Most firms just won’t touch F-1 candidates right now.




Indian H-1B aspirants are left with limited options. They can either return home or continuing living in the American nightmare.
