A horrifying case of racism unfolded on a London-to-Manchester train when an Indian-origin woman was verbally attacked by an allegedly drunk passenger.
Gabrielle Forsyth, a 26-year-old daughter to Indian immigrant parents, was chatting with another traveler about her charity work supporting immigrants. A man, sipping from a can, overheard her and suddenly turned aggressive, launching into a racist tirade.

“You’re in England, you are claiming something… English people conquered the world and gave it back to you. We conquered India, we didn’t want it, we gave it back,” he boasted. He continued his rant, attacking fellow passengers, calling them “immigrants.”
The situation got even more disturbing when the woman alleged that she was recording him to stop him from hitting her. The drunk man’s absurd reply was “I am not gonna hit you. I have a girl there that lives to get hit,” seemingly referring to her partner alongside her.

While Forsyth deleted the video from her account she shared her experience online on X. She revealed instead of support, she was bombarded with hate and abuse from social media users.
She has reported the incident to British Transport Police, refusing to stay silent. “I will always stand up for myself and others,” she said, boasting about her Indian heritage.
