Navjot Singh Siddhu commenting on cricket is indeed a very polarising thing to hear. Either one likes it too much, or not at all. Well, mostly it is the second case.
So it was only natural that when Siddhu was announced as an English commentator for JioHotstar, people went completely berserk in the comment sections.

While many questioned his true purpose of being there, and whether he even deserves to be there, others posted hilarious comments highlighting the storm that is about to come.
One user visualised what it would be like to hear Siddhu commenting in English. He mimicked the lines Siddhu would say once he started the job, like, “You’ve got to choose between tightening your belt or losing your pants,” or “Nobody travels on the road to success without a puncture or two!”

Amidst such hilarious comments, many also highlighted the need to have a quality commentary panel to highlight the technical aspects of the game rather than just having loud noise to maintain the grace of the game.
