Mohanlal’s ‘L2: Empuraan’ has now been released on OTT. The movie is streaming on Jio Hotstar in the original Malayalam audio and Tamil, Telugu, Kannada audio with English subtitles.
But the Hindi version will be released later on. The delay was unexpected and will not work very favorably for the movie. Empuraan will be available to watch in Hindi From the 22nd of May.

There was a good hype for Empuraan in the Hindi belt as well and the controversy following the release made many people interested in watching the movie as well.
But keeping such a huge gap in releasing the Hindi and other languages looks like a very badly calculated step. The hype will die down until then and it would have been much better if all the audios were released simultaneously.

There is a possibility that the platform is making some more changes to the Hindi dub. But it does not seem much needed now. The movie has gotten enough hype and it could work out really well among the Hindi audiences.
People were waiting for the OTT release for Empuraan but once it gets released, there will be a long time since the Hindi audio comes and like it happened in the case of Marco, people would be disinterested about Empuraan as well.
