Matka is considered one of the biggest failures of the year, even worse than Varun Tej’s previous films. Though Varun gave a sincere performance, the film’s boring and predictable story made his efforts go unnoticed.
Now, the film is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on December 5. The streaming platform announced this officially, and the theatrical window is three weeks.

Usually, when a film bombs badly at the box office, it arrives on OTT within one or two weeks. However, the makers of Matka should be appreciated for waiting 21 days before its digital release.
It is uncertain if Matka can perform better on OTT. Based on audience reactions in theaters, the chances of receiving positive feedback on OTT platforms seem quite less.
