Netflix India’s performance in 2025 has been disastrous and the platform has brought back to back flops that have disappointed subscribers.
They started the year with Naadaniyan which had a decent amount of anticipation because it was the debut of Ibrahim Ali Khan. Naadaniyan was criticised badly for its story and performances but still managed to pull off some views owing to the negative publicity.

The Pratik Gandhi and Yami Gautam starrer ‘Dhoom Dhaam’ too would be counted among the flops as its performance was underwhelming too. Dabba Cartel, even with a huge star cast and a unique story, failed to pull audiences and its views were not up to the mark as well.
Then came the second installment of Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Khakee’. People expected it to be as big as Khakee: The Bihar Chapter but it could not keep up the expectations. Khakee: The Bengal Chapter lacked the thrill and originality of the first season. They were all passable shows that did not leave anything memorable with audiences.

The documentary ‘The Roshans’ also did not click with the people. Only the series ‘Black Warrant’ received some decent reviews and good views.
And then there’s Test, which, despite having a superb cast like Nayanthara and Madhavan, received extremely bad talk.

Now with Jewel Thief and The Royals, the platform has made new records of disasters. It had brought six flops this year and subscribers are frustrated now.
Users are asking themselves if it is really a good idea to continue with the subscription even after this. Netflix will have to bring some extraordinary original stories soon to make up for these disasters now otherwise people will lose their trust over the platform.
