Panchayat 4 vs Special Ops 2

As two of the highly awaited Indian web series gears up for their latest season, the hype surrounding “Panchayat Season 4” and “Special Ops Season 2” couldn’t be more contrasting.

On one hand we have “Panchayat”, a slice of life which made its space in the viewer’s heart, with its simplicity, pure humor and storytelling. While the third season received mixed reactions for being slightly underwhelming compared to the previous seasons, the emotional connection which it made with the viewers, made them wait for the fourth season.

On the other hand we have “Special Ops Season 1”, an action packed thriller with pure adrenaline rush. With just one season and a mid-season spin off, the franchise has already created a strong foothold in the action thriller genre.

Now, both these series has made its space in the viewer’s heart, but with the success of “Special Ops Season 1” the buzz surrounding Special Ops is much more higher this time. The loyal fanbase of Panchayat is not any far, but because Special Ops is a newly launched series which is filled with adrenaline rush and seamless action, it is exciting for the viewers to see what is going to happen next.

Where Panchayat is more of a comfort food, people don’t binge watch it, they savour it with each episode. As well as, because the third season received lukewarm response, it is fair to say audience is expecting much more from this fourth season as the power and politics dynamic is much more tense this time.

But give the fact that “Special Ops 2” is coming with a whole new spectrum of spy thriller the crowd is gravitating a bit more towards that, to attract the audience’s attention towards “Panchayat Season 4”, the season has to be engaging throughout.

Furthermore, “Panchayat Season 4” has an upper hand as it’ll start streaming on Amazon Prime from 24th June where “Special Ops Season 2” will be streaming on JioHotstar from July 11.




Now its time to see whether Sachivji wins the gambit this time or Himmat Singh takes over.
