
Subtitles are the only resort while watching foreign shows that do not provide dubs in many Indian languages. But it seems OTT audiences are having a problem with the subtitles on Prime Video India.
Viewers have complained that the subtitles are not in sync with the audio and sometimes the subtitles are disappearing for more than thirty or forty minutes. It is obstructing the smooth viewing experience of the user and is not at all commendable in a platform like Prime Video.

It has happened with mostly Korean dramas like Anna and My Man is Cupid that the subtitles are lagging a lot behind the audio and it makes the shows totally incomprehensible.
If the shows are in English or any language of the viewers’ comfort it does not matter much, but for a language that one does know nothing of, subtitles are the only resort.

Korean shows have a huge market in India and people are trying out other international content as well. So it will be a big turn down for subscribers if the subtitles are not right.
People have compared the general OTT experience of Prime to Netflix and expressed that Netflix does not tire audiences with such problems.

This is a matter of grave importance and Prime Video should start working on the issue.
