Festive seasons always help a film to bring more box office collections. However, this did not happen in terms of Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which came out in October this year.
Both films have arrived now on Netflix and the negative response has continued to Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which featured Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri.

Director Raaj Shaandilyaa was expected to bring a better product considering that he has made films like DreamGirl.
Moreover, Rajkummar was also supposed to provide a blockbuster after Stree 2. However, none of these happened.

A section of the audience is still praising the film since it features adult comedy. But that applies only to a limited section of viewers which means that people have not found it up to the mark.
People additionally criticized the casting of Triptii Dimri as the female lead. Netizens claimed that although the actress has accumulated a huge fanbase after Animal, it is not right to select her for any random films.

Notably, Rajkummar has become a 500 crore hero and the same can be said for Triptii after the success of Stree 2 and Animal.
While critics initially called the film silly, the same word is being used by a few social media users. Overall, the film has disappointed everyone, with a few also calling it cringe.
Producers need to understand that they cannot select any topic and use it for a comedy film.
This particular approach failed in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and even Triptii’s glamorous appearance in one of the songs failed to attract the audience.
Bollywood currently needs good scriptwriters who can bring a good comedy film. A comedy film aims to make the audience laugh and makers simply need to focus on that.
