Sky Force, which featured Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahadia in the lead, is scheduled to arrive on Amazon Prime Video on March 21, 2025. The film will be available for streaming in around 240 countries and territories and is the best opportunity for those who missed it on the big screen.
Prime Video also shared an official announcement of the streaming date through Instagram on Wednesday, March 19, with a video where Veer and Akshay can be spotted dancing and approaching the camera.

Sky Force was about a true incident where India carried out a big airstrike on Pakistan and the main story focused on the main hero who goes missing during the mission.
The rest of the film deals with how the hero’s partner goes on a journey to find him and the circumstances leading to his disappearance.

The film was well-received by critics and audiences, and the response was very much better compared to the last few films of Akshay Kumar.
Despite all these, Sky Force unfortunately turned out to be a box office bomb, with closing collection reported to be around Rs. 140 crores and the makers opted for corporate bookings to show it was a hit. The film’s budget was claimed to be almost Rs. 168 crores.

Films like Sky Force undoubtedly deserve better appreciation due to their patriotic theme. However, the film’s failure was possibly because it was released around a year after Fighter, which was based on a similar theme.
Although Sky Force did not work at the box office and the positive response will continue towards the film on OTT, it has opened the door for other filmmakers to attempt films of similar genres in the future.
Considering that it is now arriving on OTT, it remains to be seen if Sky Force has still got some life.
