Nadaniyaan was released on Netflix yesterday, and it has taken the internet by storm- for all the wrong reasons.
Starring Khushi Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan, Nadaniyaan tries so hard to be Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Student of the Year that it ends up failing miserably.

Viewers have shared their opinions on X (formerly Twitter), and they are not impressed at all.
The most creative sequence in Nadaniyaan was its end credits, which gave a shout-out to the people behind the camera.

Other than that, nothing seemed to impress the audience.
Some viewers felt that the on-screen chemistry between the lead couple was so forced that it became unintentionally funny.

Others pointed out that the only actors who truly stood out were the ones playing the parents.
The film is filled with outdated stereotypes and so-called Gen Z “vibes”—except no real Gen Z actually lives by them.
Some even went as far as apologizing for criticizing 2000s star kids, saying the new generation is even worse than the worst star kids back then.
Nadaniyaan tries to be a lot of things- a love story, a comedy, and a Gen Z version of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, but somehow fails at all of them.
Ibrahim Ali Khan may have inherited his father’s genes, but as an actor, he has a long way to go.
With Nadaniyaan being Khushi Kapoor’s third film, she, too, still has a lot of growing to do.
Instead of focusing on making the film look dreamy and picture-perfect, where not a single college student’s hair is out of place, they should have worked on sharpening the acting skills of the newbies. That might have saved the story, at least a little.
With adequate work on their skills and by collaborating with better projects and directors, they could make a name for themselves in the future. But that is something we will have to wait and see.
