2000 Cr Club For Indian Movie Opened

The historic day has arrived at last. On its 53rd day run in China, Dangal has crossed the 2000 Cr mark worldwide. It is the first and only Indian movie to reach that milestone.

Dangal has had an astonishing run in China after its first weekend which was slow, to begin with. None had expected this type of incredible run where in China alone the movie has collected more than 180 Million. The previous best for Indian film was another Aamir Khan starrer, and that was 20 Million. Dangal has now collected 307 Million worldwide making it the 5th highest grossing non-English movie of all time.

Dangal in this marvelous run came from way behind and overtook Baahubali 2. It was like a tortoise and hare race where the tortoise eventually won, slowly but steadily. There is more than 300 Cr gross gap between two films as of now.
