5 Cr Supari for Director’s Head!

Padmavati issue is getting hotter and hotter as the release day approaches. The filmmakers are ready to screen the film to the community leaders before the release but after the clearance of CBFC. Yet, the impatient protesters are taking the issue to the next level. A group has announced a prize of 5 crores for the head of the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali!

No kidding, Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha from Meerut has proclaimed the prize to the ones who get the head of Sanjay and that they would go to any extent if their religious feelings are hurt. These threats have also been made to Deepika Padukone saying that the actress’s nose would be cut just like Lakshmana did to Surpanaka in Ramayana.

They say that their history is distorted and the film is dishonoring their women, and what are they doing? Are they not disrespecting a woman here? Anyway, a PIL has been filed at High Court demanding to set up a committee with historian, Rajput community heads, CBFC member and a retired judge to check on the film if it is misleading the audience on the history. sigh! What all a filmmaker has to go to portray a historical story!
