Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s much-anticipated biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke has hit an unexpected roadblock. Fans were excited to see the duo reunite for this ambitious project, but the film seems to have been delayed.
After delivering two massive hits, PK and 3 Idiots, expectations were sky-high. The scripting had already started, creating a strong buzz around the collaboration. However, Aamir Khan was reportedly not satisfied with the script.
Sources suggest that the actor found the story lacking in strong theatrical elements needed to make it a potential blockbuster. Aamir wanted an engaging mix of humour, emotion, and drama, but he felt the script fell short on comedy and entertainment.
He has asked Rajkumar Hirani and writer Abhijat Joshi to rework the script and bring in more engaging elements. Until then, the actor is also listening to other film scripts for his next project.
Reports claim that Hirani and Joshi were surprised by Aamir’s reaction but are now revising the screenplay. After Dunki’s underwhelming performance, Aamir seems cautious and wants the biopic to have a stronger impact.
The film was expected to go on floors by October this year. With the delay, fans might have to wait longer, leading to disappointment among those eagerly awaiting this collaboration.
