Nusraat Faria has been taken into custody for allegedly being associated with a murder case linked to anti-government protests in 2024. The Bangladeshi actress was arrested when she was traveling to Thailand and was at the immigration checkpoint.
The case linked to the arrest involved a murder attempt on a student in Vatara during the student protests that happened in Bangladesh. Police officer Sujan Haque claimed that the attempted murder case was approved against Nusraat a few days ago.
A complaint was made at the Vatara police station related to the murder attempt during the protests. As per the latest update, Nusraat has already been transferred to the office of the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
Nusraat Faria is known for playing Sheikh Hasina in the film Mujib: The Making of a Nation, which was released back in 2023.
