After Mersal, BJP Is Set to Promote Another Film?

Mersal turned out to be a sensational hit for the BJP making a mess out of a scene of the film on GST and helped the film to make national media headlines crossing Tamilnadu. Apparently, the leaders are all set to promote another film in the name of controversy and make it a huge hit.

The party is going to demand a stay on the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Padmavati. Ask why? they feel that the film could contain a sequence of romance between Padmavati, the rani of Mewar and the Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji deviating from the history. The filmmakers have already confirmed that there are no songs or romantic scenes between Deepika( Rani Padmini) and Ranveer(Sultan) in the film.

Yet the leaders want the film to be delayed till the Gujrat elections which would fall on December 9th and 14th. They are also demanding the film to be shown to the Rajput community leaders before release and to be banned if the leaders find anything wrong. Just like Mersal, Padmavati seems to get a free campaign from the leading party.

This time it’s a Hindi film which gives a bigger reach owing how the huge controversy goes.
