The makers of Border 2 unveiled Ahan Shetty’s first look after revealing Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh earlier. You now see Ahan step into the spotlight, adding fresh weight to the cast as the film builds its military drama around multiple leading faces.
The poster shows him in a tense combat moment. You notice blood on his face, a weapon in hand, and a steady gaze that reflects a naval officer’s resolve. The image signals intensity and places him firmly in the world of conflict and duty.
His entry widens the film’s scale and brings a younger presence into a veteran-heavy line-up. You also cannot ignore the obvious link to Suniel Shetty, whose role in Border in 1997 still carries emotional weight for many viewers.
Naturally, comparisons follow. You hear viewers debating whether Ahan can deliver even a fraction of what his father achieved in the original. The uniform itself raises expectations and the first look suggests he takes the role seriously.
The question also links back to Tadap, his debut film that failed to perform at the box office. You now look at Border 2 as a possible turning point, one that places him on a larger and tougher stage.
Directed by Anurag Singh, the film also stars Medha Rana, Mona Singh and Sonam Bajwa. You get a story built around the grit of India’s armed forces, backed by T-Series and J.P. Films. The release is fixed for 23 January 2026.
