Ajay Devgn Wasting His Potential on Low Effort Formula?

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion, also being referred to as Drishyam 3, is arriving in theatres on October 2, 2026. Expectations are sky-high after the massive success of the first two films. The excitement is also high as the franchise is coming to an end, with the case being permanently closed.

While the trailer has received a positive response, a new debate has now emerged about Ajay on social media. Notably, Ajay has not delivered a solo hit or a movie that is not part of a franchise for a long time.

Audiences are also getting to see the same side of Ajay Devgn on screen without any uniqueness. Netizens now believe that this is some kind of strategy for Ajay to stay relevant among the audience and be satisfied with whatever his movies earn at the box office.

Social media users wrote that Ajay did the remake of Drishyam ten years ago, which led to a successful franchise, and now the third entry is confirmed to take a big opening. They said that the same thing will happen with the remake of Shaitaan, which is already being planned. Some stated that Ajay’s entry into the Dhamaal franchise has also helped him to add a few more hits to his list.

Netizens pointed out the lack of effort in terms of characterization and original stories, saying that Ajay has taken a shortcut where he won’t have to do a lot of hard work and the movies will continue working at the box office.

A particular section of the audience noted that this is not the right thing to do. They said that although a lot of Ajay’s films have repeat value and the potential to be continued as a franchise, he should now stop following this trend, as he can do much better than what he is doing today.

As of now, Ajay’s fans are still excited for a few upcoming films that he has signed, which include original stories, such as Chauhaan. However, they have requested that the actor work on his look and screen appearance since they want to see him in a different form. Let’s wait and see if Ajay will listen to everyone’s requests or if he will continue doing what he wants to.
