In a recent podcast, superstar Akshay Kumar admitted that he really wants to do an action film where he can finally use his martial arts skills because he has been waiting for this kind of offer for a long time and hopes to fulfill this wish before he moves into character roles permanently.

However, some people have a different opinion because they believe Akshay has a habit of changing his mind based on what is trending, noting that he did not make a film with Priyadarshan for 14 years but signed Bhooth Bangla once he saw horror comedies working. Now that raw action movies are working at the box office, he wants to do real action, but his critics argue that if another trend starts, he will probably say he wants to do that instead because he is just trying to milk the trend.
