Bhooth Bangla: Akshay’s Strategy Finally Paying Off?

While many Bollywood stars today focus on aggressive PR and avoid releasing multiple movies per year, Akshay Kumar chooses not to take long breaks to build hype because he does not believe in marketing himself. He releases three to four films every year to help theaters keep their businesses running.

With his latest film Bhooth Bangla performing well at the box office, it is clear that his practical approach is still very effective for theater owners who need consistent releases. While other big actors might release only one or two films over a two year period, Akshay delivers multiple movies per year to maintain the cash flow in the industry. He mentioned in an interview that if he takes a long gap, the daily wage workers and technicians who rely on his films might lose their livelihoods.

Akshay Kumar is the busiest actor in the industry and does not believe in the idea of exclusivity. He remains accessible and is always ready to support a social cause whenever it is needed.

However, many people criticize him for doing too many films because it can affect the overall box office collections. Since he appears on the big screen four times a year, it can sometimes reduce the excitement or craze for his movies. He constantly has to find fresh ideas to attract the crowd, and while some of these ideas land perfectly, others do not always work.

Last year, Akshay Kumar’s luck changed after a string of flops when he finally delivered three moderately successful movies. His first release of this year is Bhooth Bangla and it is already on its way to becoming his first clean hit in a long time. This success shows that consistent hard work eventually pays off.
