Akshay & Ajay’s Same Problem: Need Reality Check

The teaser of actor Akshay Kumar-starrer Kesari Chapter 2 was released on Monday.

Taking to its YouTube channel, Dharma Productions shared the one-minute-and-thirty-second-long clip.

While the teaser appears emotionally powerful and promises a compelling storytelling journey, fans have one major complaint- Akshay Kumar looks exactly the same as he did in Jolly LLB 2.

Akshay Kumar’s last few films have been mediocre at best, and it seems like only his roles as a lawyer are getting noticed.

His roles in Jolly LLB 2, Kesari Chapter 2, and the upcoming Jolly LLB 3 all portray him as a lawyer.

The monotony in his roles is becoming increasingly evident.

Many fans have commented on how Akshay Kumar has played repetitive roles throughout his later career, with the only exception being his character in Gabbar Is Back.

This same trend can be observed with Ajay Devgn.

His look in Shaitaan, Raid 2, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, and Drishyam 2 appears identical. It feels as if his character could be picked up and placed in any of these films, and it would still look the same.

Because of this lack of variety, their characters fail to have strong recall value.

If Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar experimented with their roles and introduced even slight variations in their characters, they could stand out more and have a higher chance of becoming memorable to the audience.
