Recently there was a lot of talk that Akshay Kumar was finalized for Nikkhil Advani’s Salaam E Ishq (2007) sequel but Pinkvilla is now saying this news is not true, their sources claim that Akshay is not doing the film which has left many fans feeling a bit disappointed because they were really looking forward to this collaboration.
Many fans feel that a romantic movie would be a great choice for Akshay right now because he has been doing mostly serious or comedy roles lately, it has also been a very long time since Bollywood made a big multi-starrer romance film so this project would have been a very nice change for his followers.
On the other hand some fans think that Akshay should make a sequel to Chandni Chowk to China because it has gained a lot of popularity through TV re-runs, they believe it has a better chance to do well at the box office than a Salaam E Ishq sequel which was originally a disaster when it first released.
There is also a rumor that Akshay Kumar is in talks with YRF for another movie which is also supposed to be a romantic drama, however there are no new updates on that project yet and fans are still waiting to see if anything official comes out.
As of now there is no solid news and everyone is waiting for Akshay’s team to say something about his upcoming movies, fans are hoping for some clear information soon so they can find out if he is actually doing a romance film or sticking to his usual genres.
