Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan are set to team up once again for a new project after the success of their latest horror comedy Bhooth Bangla. As per the news, they are joining hands with Tips Films for a family comedy project.
There were rumors earlier that this Tips Films project would be a sequel to Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor Bhoot police which came in 2021. Some reports even claimed it was a direct sequel where Akshay and other Priyadarshan regulars would replace the original cast. However, the latest update clarifies that this is a completely fresh project under the Tips banner.
While fans are excited to see this duo back together, many industry experts have shared a different perspective. They believe that the horror comedy genre has become quite repetitive lately. Since people have seen so many films in that genre recently, experts believe it might be losing its charm.
Instead of another horror comedy, many people feel that a typical, old school comedy would be a much better choice for Akshay and Priyadarshan. This duo is famous for making some of the best clean comedies in Bollywood history so a typical slapstick entertainer would allow them to bring back the classic humor that fans truly love.
