Akshay Kumar has officially revealed the poster of his new film Bhooth Bangla on his birthday, marking his return in a project with Priyadarshan.
The duo has delivered many hits together, including Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Garam Masala. Their last collaboration was Khatta Meetha, which saw average success.
On his 56th birthday, Akshay revealed that he will star in the horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. The poster features a mischievous cat on his shoulder, while Akshay is seen licking milk from a bowl.
After a series of flops, including Bell Bottom, Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, Sarfira, Khel Khel Mein, and others, fans have been longing for the “good old days.”
Many believe that only a film with Priyadarshan can revive Akshay’s career. Now, he has presented the much-awaited treat for his fans! But the question remains: will it be appreciated?
Akshay’s saturated presence on screen, with 4-6 films a year, seems to have diluted his impact on the audience.
While some fans are thrilled about the reunion with a director who delivered numerous hits with him, others feel that Priyadarshan has become outdated, as his last successful Hindi film was over a decade ago.
Recently, Akshay was seen as the supervillain in Stree 2, and the next installment in the Sooryavanshi franchise is highly anticipated.
Amidst all these developments, his announcement of Bhooth Bangla suggests that Akshay Kumar has no intention of slowing down.
According to film pundits, Akshay Kumar’s best move now would be to take a break and focus his undivided attention on one project at a time.
