Sunita Williams and Barry Butch E. Willmore had been stuck in space for 9 long months. And ever since this news hit the media, people had been concerned for their return.
Mission leader Sunita Williams was given particular focus in India because of her Indian ethnicity. With many calling her Bharat ki Beti, all eyes were on her return on 18 March.
Social media flooded with celebration about the safe return of Sunita Williams. This also called for a lot of memes and jokes as is usual online.
Interestingly, some netizens joked that Akshay Kumar should play the lead role in Sunita Williams’ biopic and this hint was enough for the internet to go crazy.
Akshay’s overly nationalistic and biography film rage is not news to anyone, many photos of Akshay’s resemblance with Sunita were also shared. Hence, many believed it wouldn’t be surprising if Akshay starts considering this project for real.
Indeed Akshay could make a film on Sunita in less time than it required her to return to earth from space. Netizens are afraid that Akshay might get ideas from these memes he might really start working on it.
