Salman’s Undying Love for Aishwarya: One More Proof

Sheeba Chaddha recently shared an interesting memory from the set of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, which starred Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and Ajay Devgn in lead roles. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film was a huge success at the box office and is still remembered fondly by fans.

During an interview, Sheeba revealed there was a scene where Salman Khan had to hug her, with Aishwarya Rai also part of the sequence. However, Salman refused to hug her. The scene came towards the end of the film, where Aishwarya hugs Salman, and he returns the gesture. But when it came to hugging Sheeba, Salman declined, causing the shoot to pause until Bhansali intervened and spoke to him.

Sheeba said she never directly spoke to Salman about the matter. Being a newcomer at the time, she preferred to stay quiet and let the director manage the situation. She did not share further details on what happened behind the scenes.

Salman has not addressed Sheeba’s statements so far, leaving only him to explain why he avoided the hug. Given the real-life romance between Salman and Aishwarya during the film’s making, some believe insecurity could have played a role, which is not uncommon when actors share the screen with others in emotionally charged scenes.

Aishwarya is now married to Abhishek Bachchan and has a daughter. She has never spoken about the incident, and over the years, neither she nor Salman have publicly resolved their differences or discussed their past relationship. For now, fans can only wait to see if Salman or Bhansali eventually share their side of the story in another conversation.
