Big B Behind Glass: Bollywood’s Changing Reality

The Tiger Shroff firing incident appears to have changed more than just the security arrangements around Bollywood celebrities. It is also affecting how freely stars interact with the outside world. Salman Khan and other prominent actors have reportedly seen increased security, while film shootings are also taking place under tighter protection.

The biggest indication of this changing atmosphere came from Amitabh Bachchan‘s residence. The veteran actor, who has maintained the tradition of greeting fans outside Jalsa every Sunday for years, recently met them from behind a protective glass enclosure. It was a striking change to a tradition that has remained an important part of his relationship with fans.

There was a time when meeting fans outside their homes or appearing publicly without elaborate security arrangements was relatively normal for several stars. However, incidents like these are making celebrities more cautious about their movements and public interactions.

Bollywood is still functioning as usual, but the growing security concerns are slowly creating a distance between stars and their fans. The industry may be protecting its biggest names, but it also risks losing the accessibility that made their stardom special.
